photoshop is preparing for google supremacy

Author: webee | Filed under: money for our honey.

via bogdan i found out that photoshop is going online.

and off course it will be a “basic fuctions application” but why is adobe going there? is it preparing something bigger?

i think the answer comes from google. did you notice that google is offering more and more online applications that might even make us give up on microsoft’s supremacy? (here’s a good perspective on google vs microsoft topic).

and here’s the complete article from cnn.

  1. this is a shot in the dark… but have you any recommendations for software/program that will take an mpg movie and break it into jpgs?

    anything other than irfan view?

i am at a loss as to how to do this IN photoshop (i have cs2) so, i found your site did the technorati thing and now am here seeking help.

    any ideas?

and on-line? to me it makes sense given adobe’s move to host all their reader functions on-line too (upload documents to them, they convert them send them back to you). i think the idea of planting a beginner’s version of photoshop on the web is a great ploy to get folks hooked , the they’ll need to upgrade, etc and eventually find themselves buying cs or elements.

    i guess???

  2. Anything to push MS out of the market is a good thing.

  3. :) yes… in this perspective… microsoft is down an out.
or is it prepairing something new?

  5. I still like working on my own computer.

  6. well… offcourse for the moment none of the web based solutions gives us the necessary tools (just think about the tools you need for a print design…)

    but in time…
it will be only a matter of changing habbits. in fact i think it’s more convenient that you can actually access your work from any computer connected to internet.

  7. There is obviously a lot to know about this. I think you made some good points in Features also.
