Hi again,
Isn´t there a possibility to get the value name automatically like in indesign. When I mix a color in indd it tells me the CMYK value name automatically no need to type in each value, it´s just there!

Hi Kate,

First you have to see if the color mode is cmyk (File- document color mode) and then just make a new swatch in swatches palette and then tape the values and click ok. You can save it with a name or not.

Cheers,

Hi again Kate

The format eps. is a vector if you open it with a program that knows vector formats, and of course if it is a vector and not an image.

And yes, in your case you have to change the colours in illustrator.

But with other eps. and ai. if there are no problems with the document, you can easily paste it directly in indesign and change the colours.

Great it works! I´ve got 2 more questions:

1:Is Illustrator eps. a vector image? I thought that eps.format is a raster image.

2:I´ve placed my ai. image into indesign butI can´t change any colors within the vector image. Do I need to do this in illustrator before I place my vector image in indesign?
Thanks for your help

Hi,Kate

It's simple, if you cannot paste it directly in indesign save it eps.or ai. (this formats preserve your vectors) and then, ctrl D(place) in indesign, go to your document, place it and that's it.

I hope I could help.

Hi,
I´ve done a live trace of a photo, now it´s vector and would like to copy paste it in indesign but tells me that it will become a eps or too many anchor points. How can I import my now vector image into indesign?
