Photoshop Express, the long-awaited free online image editor from Photoshop maker Adobe, was released.

If i was to present it, i would say it is like Ennio Morricone says: it has good points, bad points, and… ugly points.

the good: the attractive interface of photoshop express; useful retouching tools and well-done interface for using them; most operations relatively fast.
the bad: Photoshop Express doesn’t support photos from 12-megapixel or higher cameras; some unnattractive Terms of Service; no filtering or keywording; no printing options.
the ugly: weeeeeellll the ugly….is on vacation

so here’s webee’s conclusion: “me like” Photoshop Express and for some people who’s computer do not support Adobe Photoshop, it can be very usefull on fast photos editing shared online with friends and family.

and now, let’s hear from the one and only Ennio Morricone:

Hey. Photoshop express is, i think, the first step to moving all the programs directly on the net. For now we have live bookmarks, online desktop and now the ultimate image proccesing software - photoshop. It hasn’t all the tools as normal photoshop, but it can help you crop and adjust your photos quickly for your blog, socializing sites etc. It makes a real difference for normal users that doesn’t uses photoshop or doesn’t know how to use it. It’s easiest and more available, for now only for testing but i’m sure when it will be online it will be accesed by millions. I’m curious then how the speed will be. how fast will it move. Can wait to use it.

THE UGLIEST: This service has a very very disturbing clause in the TOS (It gives adobe exclusive rights to all your photos that you upload to the service):

Thanks to you all, Laura and Vaibhav.

Concerning the exclusive rights, it matters only if your photos are very important to you and if you are a professional photographer. But if you already share photos with friends from other cities or other countries, I think it’s not so important if adobe has exclusive rights or not. The most important thing is to keep in touch.
