robcubbon is a freelance designer in london who’s just got incorporated. and is now looking to recreate it’s corporate visual elements.
he’s started with his logo. and has presented his first logo proposal here.

i too have decided o create one logo proposal for him:

rob cubbon logo

and this is a short argument for this logo proposal:
- i think rob is right when deciding to focus it’s logo on presenting his name.
- i tried to enhance and strengthen the focus on the name by different fonts and colours.
- rob cubbon’s name: i’ve used brisk, font with rounded corners which is (in my opinion) easier to read.
- “ltd”: written with 2tech, gives sobriety (through the font used) and dinamism (through colour) while still letting the name to gain the most visibility.

btw: here’s a good collection of free fonts.

what do you think?
- should rob consider another strategy when designing his logo?
- what do you think about the composition?
- what do you think about the colours and/or fonts?

thanks again for the comments!

i will now show you exactly this: what should you do to use this path in order to create new background for objects, and/or to edit and modify objects using photoshop.

tutorial: cut the bullsh… GROUND

Author: webee | Filed under: makin'of, photoshop

the steps for creating the teahouse are quite obviouse: getting the pictures, processing the image and preparing the ad for print.

i’m gonna share with you my most usual sources for pictures (royalty free or paid):
1. the hungarian picture stock (most of them free)
2. an all free picture collection
and off course:
3. getty’s cool pictures

you shouldn’t though neglect the possibility to make your own pitcures. this way you would get a more customized-for-client ad. … off course this could also be more time consuming and more expensive…

luckylli, my search only lasted 30 minutes but it could have easilly lasted 2-3h to 1 entire day.
anyway, i decided to use this picture for the teahouse ad:

teahouse picture

in 2 next posts i made a 2 part tutorial for:

how to cut objects from their background part 1 (how to create a path for selection).

how to cut objects from their background part 2 (how to use selection).
